Oak Ridge Campground is tucked away deep in the woods of Prince William Forest Park. Located a short distance off of the scenic drive, the campground allows guests to stay right in the heart of the dense forest found here at the park. Hiking and biking trails can be accessed directly from the campground. Fishing opportunities and large picnic shelters are just a few miles away. Operating season runs from March through November.

The campground has over 100 sites and is designed for both tent and RV use. Each site consists of a grill, fire pit, picnic table, lantern pole, and a designated parking slip. There are no hookups at any of these sites. Each site is limited to six people and two tents. For those looking for group camping, Turkey Run Campground is located right down the road.

There are some limitations for those traveling with RVs. The one-way road that winds through the campground is a narrow and may prove difficult for some larger RVs to navigate. For RV trailers the length is limited to 26 feet and height to 12 feet. For motor homes the restriction is 32 feet long and 12 feet tall. Those with larger RVs or looking for full hookups can find an RV campground located at the edge of the park and accessed by Route 234.

The campground is divided into three loops. Loop A and B consist of 67 tent and RV sites. These two loops are open from March through November. The A loop sites are first-come, first-served, and B loop sites are reservation only. Loop C consists of 33 sites and is open from April through October. Loop C sites are reservation only. Sites A35, A25, C32, and C33 are all handicapped-accessible.

Each loop has a bath house with sinks and flushing toilets. The B loop bath house is equipped with showers. Additional campground amenities include an amphitheater and vending machines. The park store, located inside the visitor center, has limited supplies and snacks for sale. Collecting dead and downed wood for firewood is permitted.
