Cabin Creek Nordic Ski Area provides some of the best groomed and scenic trails in central Washington. Conveniently located off of I-90, the area is easy to access and offers a variety of terrain for skiers of all levels. In addition to a sno-park permit, you'll need a groomed trails permit to use this excellent facility. Once you park, cross back over the interstate on foot with skis in hand and start on the well-groomed trails.

Once you start your adventure, there are many options to explore. A great warm up route is the green labeled 4.6-kilometer round-trip route that gives you a flat track to perfect your technique. From there, venture out to the nearly 9-kilometer Berg course and Viking Boundary line to check out some of the best that Cabin Creek has to offer. For the more adventurous and athletically able, the Mount Ozbaldy and Mount Amabilis loops offer a climb and views for miles.

The Kongsberger Ski Club maintains the trails, which means that you could run into a race if you are traveling on the weekends. The races are open to the public to watch. Check here for a schedule, and if races keep you from the trails here, try the trails at nearby Crystal Springs and Hyak.
