Hidden on the south shore of Lake Wenatchee, Glacier View Campground is a wonderful little gem that few people use. Many of the sites are situated right on the water, and the space between sites keeps accommodations feeling very private. From the boat launch or any lakeside campsite, look north on a clear day for a view of snowy Glacier Peak in the distance.

The campground offers 23 standard non-electric sites, 16 of which are a short walk from the parking area and all of which are first-come, first-served. A day-use boat launch is available for campers or visitors, an ideal place to launch a canoe or kayak, as motorized boats are rare. Keep in mind that parking throughout most of the campground is limited to small spaces along the road, so RVs and trailers may not fit next to walk-in sites.

During your stay at Glacier View, take advantage of being on the more serene end of Lake Wenatchee and spend the day paddling or swimming. Take a short hike up to Hidden Lake right from the campground; it is a short, gentle trail that is perfect for families. If you wish for more activities like horseback riding, beach volleyball, or longer hiking trails, head 4 miles back down the road to Lake Wenatchee State Park.

One of my favorite campsites! Some sites are more secluded than others but all of them have great access to the lake. Beautiful scenery and very quiet. 10 out of 10, would go again.

Any idea how long the walk from the vehicle to the walk-in sites would be? Do they have any canoe-in sites?
