A mecca for kids to splash around in Lake Washington during the summer, Houghton Beach Park is arguably the most used beach park in all of Seattle in spite of its minimal 3.8-acre size.

Beyond being overrun with children, the park is home to a summer concession stand, a playground, a 250-foot long pier perfect for sunbathing or casting a line, a well-maintained lawn, and a sand volleyball court. The beach also features stand-up paddleboard and kayak rentals by Perfect Wave during the summer months . Call 425.827.5323 for details. The sand volleyball courts are managed by iSport Beach Volleyball, are free to use, and can be reserved by calling 425.587.3300.
