This loop hike is just outside Leavenworth, WA and is a nice loop hike with great views of the Icicle Creek and gorges the creek cuts through. From the parking area on route 76, walk into the thick pine forest.  After a short distance the pine needle covered path meets the junction with the Icicle Gorge Loop, and can be hiked in either direction.

After about a half mile, the trail crosses Icicle Creek on a steel foot bridge.  This is the first Gorge.  Impressive but not very deep.  The trail continues for another mile with occasional access to the creek for some nice photos.  The crosses Jack Creek on a log bridge and works its way back to Icicle Creek.  After another mile, the trail comes out onto NF-7600.  Turn right on the road which now crosses Icicle Creek.  On the other side of the creek is the Rock Island campground.  Stay right after crossing the creek and walk back into the forest following the trail. Watch for the signs in the campground directing you to the Icicle Gorge trail.

Stay on the trail for another 1.5 miles until you reach the beginning of the loop.  Turn right back through the pine forest and the trailhead.
