Lake Cushman epitomizes the entire notion of summer recreation: cabins, boating, camping, sun-kissed beaches, and certainly lake swimming. Situated on the north shore off of N Lake Cushman Road/NF-24, this open and pebbly beach is perfect for spending an entire summer afternoon. Although Lake Cushman is technically not a lake, rather a reservoir created by the damming of the North Fork of the Skokomish River, it remains an incredibly scenic body of water.

Want to find a good cliff jumping spot? The appropriately named Big Rock is 1.6 miles further west on N Lake Cushman Road/NF-24. Alternately, if Lake Cushman's North Shore East is too overrun with people, the North Shore West swimming area is 0.9 miles further west.

Note: The beach at North Shore East isn't marked by any official signage, so be sure to follow the directions closely and to watch your odometer.
