Perched on the south side of the Olympic Mountains, Lake Cushman is a summer recreation paradise! Whether you are heading into the national park via Staircase, hanging out at Skokomish Park, or spending the weekend at Lake Cushman Resort and Campground, you're sure to have a great time. You're also sure to run into droves of other people looking to do the same thing. Not here though.

This cozy swimming spot on Lake Cushman's north shore is one place you're guaranteed to avoid the crowds. The beach is a little rocky, but it will be quiet, and its waters are incredibly clear.

Note: The North Shore East swimming area has no official signage or markers, so follow the directions closely and watch your odometer while driving on N Lake Cushman Road/NF-24.
