In contrast to the South Camp that is adjacent to the larger Skokomish Park Beach + Day Use Area, this North Camp may feel a little more dedicated to overnight use. Access to Lake Cushman from the campground is by trail, there is no boat ramp, and all of the day use amenities, including the store, are on the south side of the Big Creek Inlet. Depending on your needs, however, this can be a big plus: this North Camp is much less likely to see the multi-use traffic that arrives on a busy summer day.

And in terms of campground amenities, this area is thoroughly equipped. Clean restrooms with showers are centrally located, and you'll also find access to trails leaving from the east end of the campground near site 68. This is where you'll find the short access trail that leads to the lake. This small loop consists of 30 sites and one large group site that has its own picnic shelter, barbecues, and restrooms. Each single site includes fire rings and picnic tables. While the sites here are large enough to accommodate RVs and trailers, none have hookups (34 sites with full hookups are available in the South Camp). Reservations are highly recommended in the summer season.

Note: Skokomish Park North and South Camps are not open during the winter months and are typically open from early April through early November, and is weather dependent. Call 360.877.5760 to get date specifics.
