Lake Easton State Park is a beautiful place to spend the day cross-country skiing or snowshoeing, and it is also conveniently located near I-90. Mountain views greet you immediately as you enter the park. The first third of a mile is shared with snowmobiles, so watch your tracks as you enjoy the first good views of Lake Easton.

Shortly after leaving the snowmobile tracks, cross-country skiers are directed toward a dense section of old-growth forest. The colors are vibrant in this Washington State Park, and many of the cedars and Douglas firs stand proudly as well-established trees. Keep an eye out for all wildlife such as bobcats, rabbits, raccoons, and the occasional chipmunk. A well-planned loop trail system at Lake Easton allows for new views throughout, and there is plenty to look at in either direction. If you wanted to keep exploring, you can hop on a section of the Iron Horse Trail that connects Lake Easton to Cabin Creek during the summer months for a nice a extension to your lake Easton adventure.
