Located on the northern shore and dikes of the roughly 2,880-acre reservoir, Lake Tapps Park is a water lover's summer playground that offers some of the the Seattle/Tacoma metro area's best views of 14,411-foot Mount Rainier.

With 10,000 feet of shoreline, the park features a public boat access ramp and dock, countless picnic tables, restrooms, barbecue grills, a beach and designated swimming areas, and a snack bar during peak summer days.

Note: Lake Tapps Park is only open April through September from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. During the 'open' season, vehicles may only enter the park until 7 p.m. For questions on local conditions or general inquires, contact Pierce County Parks and Recreation at 253.798.4177.
