The Olympic Sculpture Park in downtown Seattle is an ideal destination for blending an appreciation for the outdoors with modern art. Situated on the Seattle waterfront, the Park offers plenty of green space for picnics, art installations by renowned artists, a panoramic view to the Olympic Mountains and access to the many waterfront amenities along Seattle’s piers. The destination has been honored with numerous awards from the American Institute of Architects, American Society of Landscape Architects and Travel + Leisure Magazine.

Before this 9-acre outdoor sculpture museum and waterfront formally opened in January 2007, the land sat for 30 years as a contaminated brownfield. Formerly an oil-and-gas industrial site, the Seattle Art Museum (among other contributors) is responsible for the successful remediation.

The Olympic Sculpture Park open 365 days a year and is free to the public. The Park opens each day 30 minutes before sunrise and closes 30 minutes after sunset.
