Jakle's Lagoon on San Juan Island is one of the must see places in Friday Harbor. While finding this place may be a little bit of a challenge, the lagoon is a short drive from the ferry landing area in downtown Friday Harbor. Driving through the rolling hills and open farms, it is right next to Fourth of July Beach, South Beach and Cattle Point Lighthouse in proximity to Mount Finlayson Loop.

A combination of several short day hikes, the Jakle's Lagoon is a beautiful hike starting from the parking lot and onward through tall trees and well-marked trailhead that leads you to the open vista at the end of the trail.

It is a beautiful curtain opening to emerald and blue colored waters on the rocky and sandy beach and several lagoons on the other side of the beach. The spot is a perfect place to spend a day; you can either do a loop of about 2.5 miles or just choose a there-and-back hike.
