If you are looking for a quiet alternative to Mount Si and Little Si near North Bend, Teneriffe Falls is the hike for you. It is a mild to moderate trail, but you will work up a sweat climbing the last mile to the falls as you enjoy the open views of Snoqualmie Valley and surrounding peaks. Spring to early summer is the best time to visit, when the waterfall is at full volume and snow has melted from the path.

The hike begins on a wide dirt road that meanders gently upward for 1 mile before coming to an intersection with a smaller road. Turn right and follow this road as it narrows, climbing gradually along the wooded ridgeline and offering occasional views of the valley below. If you do visit in summer, you will be treated to a wealth of berries, including thimbleberies, black raspberries and huckleberries.

After 2 miles of mild trail, the route splits to the right again and the going gets more challenging, gaining 770 vertical feet in the last mile to the waterfall. Switchback over talus slopes and through second and third growth forest, enjoying more expansive views over the valley as you gain altitude. Note that the final stretch from the lower part of the falls to the upper viewpoint can get slippery when wet, so climb with caution.
