White River Falls Campground is one of three free places to camp along White River, about 11 miles north of Lake Wenatchee in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. It is by far the most secluded of the three, and definitely worth the extra driving to get there.

This tiny campground has just five sites, all of which are situated under massive Douglas firs and just steps away from the beautiful White River Falls. Though there is no potable water, the campground does offer basic amenities like grills, picnic tables and vault toilets. Note that White River Falls is primarily geared toward tent camping, as the driveway is narrow and RVs or trailers will have a hard time turning around once they are in.

One mile back down the road is Grasshopper Meadows Campground, and four miles back is Napeequa Crossing Campground, which has direct access to the Twin Lakes Creek Trail and more space for RV camping. All three are managed by the National Forest Service, and despite their small size they rarely fill up.

Campground was closed when I was at nearby Grasshopper Meadows Memorial Day '17 d/t washed out road. You could still walk to the campground to view the falls, which was spectacular!
