While many visitors view the mainland Apostle Island Caves via kayak, this trail provides an alternative view of the caves. The Meyers Beach Sea Cave Trail follows 2.3 miles of the Lakeshore Trail, which begins at the Meyer’s Beach parking lot near Cornucopia, Wisconsin. The first 0.7 miles of the trail is on a boardwalk. After this, the trail undulates but is still a relatively easy hike with less than 300 feet of gain. After 2 miles you will come to a natural bridge and the first viewpoints of the caves. Continue 0.3 miles to a view of “The Bowl," one of the best views of the hike. After taking in the views, head back on the Lakeshore Trail the way you came.
