The Overlook Trail is a 1.2 mile loop in Pattison State Park. The trail is relatively flat, although there are some hilly areas in the middle of the loop. The trail runs through a hardwood forest, and is located just south of the campground and can be accessed via a service road between sites 8 and 9. From the service road head south on a very wide gravel path. After about 0.5 mile there is a view of Black River. The trail soon turns to the east and comes to trailhead of the Riverview Trail. From here, the trail runs due north on very wide grassy trail where it joins a road. This portion of the trail can be very soggy after heavy rains. It is then a short walk back to the service road.

One can also get to the Overlook Trail via a short access trail off the Beaver trail.
