You never know what is over the next hill :)
Bridge is still technically closed but is crossable, great day today lots of friendly people
Time to get out of the house, the weekend has arrived and were off I remembered driving by this park about 6 years ago and always wanted to come back. We hiked around the loop on what I call the inner side before crossing the road and hiking on to ellis cove trail. The trail had washed out and was closed just after the long bridge. We found a different way and continued out journey taking us along Budd inlet where we stoped on the beach to eat our lunch and our little explorer, 8 months old slept in his backpack carrier as we took in the sights and explored the beach at low tide. After exploring the beach we followed the loop around and returned to priest point park where the playground was full and so was the beach as people scurried around. Overall Easy hiking well maintained trails, except the closed section,Another successful day Outdoors :)

It was a B-E-A-Utiful day to get out and have an adventure. We made the scenic drive form Graham to Enumclaw via Orting. The trail head was very simple to find as we pulled up and even with the many vehicles parked along the road there was plenty of room to find parking. We unloaded our two pups and loaded the newest adventurer, my 9month old son, in out kelty child pack and up we went. The sun was out and sky was clear as we peered thru the trees to catch a glimpse of the scenery when we could. Our legs started to burn as there is a constant climb to the top, but the short trail makes for a quick hike. The trail on the way up was moist but not muddy. The traffic was fair but it did not feel crowded until the summit where there was not much room to sit and eat lunch as we always do. The climb down was quick and simple as we passed many friendly hikers of all ages. Overall a great day outside and many more to come.
