Awesome place to camp and explore the rain forest with a dog since dogs are not allowed on trails that go into the Olympic National Park territory. We hiked pretty much every trail in the Quinault National Recreation Trail System with our dog and it was really enjoyable. We were certainly sick of being wet and muddy by the end of our two night stay, but it was a great experience. Both days we were there we experienced both great down pours and beautiful blue skys, it just depended on the hour. Also, reservations ARE possible and can be made through the Quinault Lodge. We would have much rather stayed at the Willaby Campground, but we showed up without reservations since we didn't think that was an option. We were still happy with this campground, but we drove through the Willaby CG and it was certainly nicer with larger, much more private sites.

Great campground with sites right on the lake, which was not crowded at all. We were at site 18 & 19 (midway), which have to be reserved together because they are so close. We had three tents set up between the two sites. I love that beyond your campsites here is nothing but the lakeside. It felt like we had our own little secret access to the lake. However, pretty much any of the sites right next to the lake were pretty great. I can't wait to do another trip.
