Erik Urdahl

After years of dabbling in photography while still clinging to safe, reliable income I finally decided it was time to commit to something. I went back to school for photography with no idea what I wanted to do or how I was going to earn a living after this, but living a safe life with no fulfillment was no longer possible.

As I have pursued photography I constantly learn new things about myself. I thought I would never want to shoot anything besides wildlife and landscapes, yet I find myself shooting people of all walks of life in places ranging from Autzen Stadium to the Pacific Ocean.
Through good times and bad, the experiences I've had since embarking into the world of commercial photography have made for a fuller life. There is nary a day where I look back fondly at the days of fluorescent light and start to second guess the decision I made.
