Lover of all things nature. Hiking first and foremost; camping, kayaking, biking, swimming, canoeing.
A very rewarding hike. Take heed of the posted signs: this hike is challenging at times, even for experienced hikers or fit individuals. There are several beautiful viewpoints where you can take a breather and snap some photos. The wildflowers are gorgeous in June and really come through in the latter portion of the hike. You may want to bring a granola bar or some trail mix once you reach the peak; you'll need some energy for the steep inclines. I camped here on June 6th, 2015; the camping fee is now $11.00 - very reasonable in comparison to other state parks!
A very rewarding hike.
