The Bear Canyon Suspension Bridge is an impressive sight (and a popular attraction) along the Draper Section of the Bonneville Shoreline Trail. There are a few different ways it can be accessed, but the shortest and most popular is via the Orson Smith Park - about a 2 mile round trip hike with 430 feet elevation gain.

The bridge was built in 2015 and spans 185 feet across Bear Canyon. It’s construction was paid for by donations from residents and friends of Draper City.

Hiking to the bridge for sunset is a great choice, just be sure to leave yourself enough time to get back down to the trailhead.

One should also explore the short Bear Canyon Loop that leads above the suspension bridge, offering some of the best views.
