The area off Dalton Wells Road is a popular location for dispersed camping and is now a part of the new Utahraptor State Park. Camping is still very primitive, but a $15 fee per night is now required.

The Dalton Wells area is home to one of the largest dinosaur bone beds in North America. There are also some unique geological features with some colorful hills right next to the camping areas.

The road in is a bit rough but should but passable under most conditions. Once you’ve driven a half mile in, you are allowed to camp at any existing campsites. Please do not create any new campsites.

Campsites are very bare bones with some having a small premade fire ring. There are also porta-potties and trash on site.

The $15 camping fee can be paid at the collection station, or online by scanning the QR code on the park sign when pulling in.
