The Timpooneke Trail #053 is a 14.2-mile out-and-back trail to the top of Mount Timpanogos (11750') from Timpooneke Trailhead. Mountain Timpanogos is located within the Mount Timpanogos Wilderness and is the second highest peak in the Wasatch Mountain Range. The mountain is accessible year-round, making it one of the region's most popular hiking areas. The trail to the summit is open to runners, hikers, backpackers, and horseback riders.

Timpooneke Trail #053 climbs steadily through aspen stands, lush meadows, and flowing mountain streams. The area is filled with picturesque waterfalls, rocky cliffs, and scenic vistas. It traverses rugged terrain with glacial cirques, and if you visit in the summer (July-August), you may be able to see a stunning display of colorful wildflowers.

Eventually, Mount Timpooneke Trail #053 connects to Mount Timpooneke Summit Trail #054, which leads to the summit of the 11,750 foot peak where visitors will be rewarded by incredible views overlooking the Utah Valley and Utah Lake.
