You've spent a little time on in the Hoh Rainforest, and you've bobbed around on the Pacific outside of Depoe Bay. For this week's Zen Wednesday, take flight in one of Oregon's most remarkable wildlife refuges. The 2,865-acre Ankeny National Wildlife Refuge is located just south of Salem, and it is a vital habitat for the dusky Canada goose. You'll see plenty of additional bird species in this video, however. Contributor Race Jones gives us close-ups of red-winged blackbirds, great blue herons, mallards, American coot, tundra swans, and many other species. This video grabs some truly elegant moments from bursts of activity that are all too easily missed, and it brings you right into the heart of this wild refuge.
