The drive-in Daisy Field Campground is located in Door County’s Potawatomi State Park near Sturgeon Bay. The campground has a total of 123 sites. There are 58 sites that have electric hookups with 50-amp service. The campground is heavily wooded and the sites have some separation to offer a little privacy.
There is one pull through site at the campground, the rest are back-in sites. There are two handicap accessible campsites as well as an accessible cabin. Each site has a fire ring and a picnic table. The campground host is located at campsite number 2E. Dogs that are on a leash are allowed in the campground. The leash can be no longer than 8 feet.
Firewood is available for sale at the Potawatomi Park Store which is located right by the campground. The Potawatomi Park Store offers bicycle, canoe, kayak, and paddle board rentals. The store also has camping supplies for sale as well as a small assortment of groceries, beer, and wine.
The Daisy Field Campground has two main loops and there is one shower building with flush toilets that serves both loops. There are also four vault toilets and several fresh water spigots located throughout the campground. There is a small playground area near the entrance to the north loop. There is a dump station located near the park entrance.
It is a short walk from the campground to the shores of Sturgeon Bay. The Ice Age Trail, the Hemlock Trail, and the Tower Trail are accessible from the campground for those interested in hiking.
The campground is open year-round, but only about 30 sites are available for use during the winter. Be aware that there is no access to drinking water or flush toilets during the cold months.
In addition to the camping fees, there is a fee to enter the park; a day use or annual permit can be purchased at the park office. All the sites can be reserved online or by phone. Potawatomi State Park is a very popular park, so camping spots get reserved quickly.
