Lander City Park offers free overnight camping and is a popular place with vanlifers and other travelers passing through the area. The park is located less than a mile from the main downtown area of Lander. The Middle Fork of the Popo Agie River flows beside the camping area making it a nice setting.

The park itself is good sized with plenty of grassy space to relax or recreate. There are restrooms and picnic tables throughout the park. Drinking water is available also. Of course there are typical park amenities such as playground equipment for kids, as well as baseball fields.

The camping area is located on one end of the park. There is a large parking area with essentially unlimited camping spaces (park wherever you wish). There are a few spots with picnic tables situated so that large campers can pull through and park next to them. There is also ample room for tent camping on the nicely maintained grassy lawn.

Please observe the 3 day camping limit if visiting Lander City Park.
