Moose Falls is located 1.2 miles north of the south entrance station to Yellowstone National Park. The geothermally heated waters of Crawfish Creek, a tributary of the Lewis River, plunge 30 feet to form Moose Falls. While not as big as many of the waterfalls in Yellowstone, it is quite beautiful. Parking for Moose Falls is available on both sides of the road. The waterfall is located on the east side of the road. It is a short, easy walk from the road to view this waterfall from the top; the falls can also be viewed from the base by taking a somewhat steep trail that has some stone steps.

Those wishing to view Moose Falls must pay an entrance fee since the falls are located within Yellowstone National Park. Dogs are not allowed by the waterfall.

For visitors traveling between Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park at a quick stop, Moose Falls is well worth the time.
