Lacamas Creek Park is arguably the most wild and scenic urban park in the Portland area (though Oxbow Regional Park is certainly a contender as well).  This short hike will take you by all of the park's highlights, including Round Lake and all three of the park's waterfalls - Pothole Falls, Lower Falls and Woodburn Falls.  You will also see impressive stands of old-growth Douglas fir near Woodburn Falls and the fields of spectacular violet lilies for which the town Camas was named.  With all of its water features, this hike is a perfect destination on hot summer days.

This was a nice walk through the woods and the waterfalls were great. There were a lot of runners, families, and some mountain bikers.

Did this today 4/22/2018. This is a great hike with something for everyone! We took our time admiring the display of hyacinths, wild life, and soaked in the fresh, crisp air at Woodburn and Lower Falls. Soaked in the sun at the long bridge. Across the terraced river. The lake is a great place to people watch. People fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding. And of course dogs!

Easily identifiable paths that are maintained with several luncheon locations along the trail through old growth groves, hyacinth hills, lake side docks, etc.

For sure coming back!
