We envision Outdoor Project and its sister non-profit OutdoorProject.org as co-op style organizations that will flourish by the support and involvement of a like-minded community of individuals who all love the outdoors and want to share that passion with the rest of the world.
While we're starting out there are 3 fundamental ways for you to get involved:
Become a MEMBER
Our goal is that when you become a member it feels like you get the information you need to make your next outdoor adventure a success.
Whether you elect to become a Member, Giving Member, or Donor, your monthly contribution is what will allow us to continue adding more content and features to the website, as well as protect the natural places we all love to visit. And with your input, together we will build a vibrant community of outdoor adventures.
Become a CONTRIBUTOR
We are seeking the most talented and energetic outdoor enthusiasts living in WA, OR, CA, ID and NV to add fun, informative and inspiring content to the website.
Outdoor Project's content is developed in a hybrid crowd-sourced/journalistic fashion, but in order to provide the most thorough, reliable, safe, and inspiring information, Outdoor Project curates all published content.
Specifically we are looking for talented photographers, videographers, and writers who are willing to share their time and love of outdoor adventure.
In return for your involvement as a Contributor, Outdoor Project will provide a platform where you can promote your work, and you will be enrolled in our Contributor Rewards Program with an opportunity to receive payment for your contributions.
Become an INVESTOR
Outdoor Project is raising seed capital to support startup costs associated with web and content development. If you are interested in learning more about us as an investment opportunity, we'd love to hear from you.
Provide Feedback
We want to provide the absolute best resources for people to plan and execute an outdoor adventure. This means publishing content that is thorough, accurate, reliable and safe.
Providing constructive feedback on every adventure will help us do this. Here are a few simple ways to provide feedback:
- Identify errors or omissions on our maps and driving directions
- Help identify flora + fauna species.
- Inform us of critical alerts such as road or trail closures.
- Let us know how you'd like Outdoor Project to improve and provide you better products and services.
