Patagonia was on the top of my travel list for years, and even now that I've been there, it's still on the top of my list. Photos do not even begin to do the landscape justice, the people are incredibly friendly and welcoming, the food makes my mouth water to this day, gunacos are awesome, the massifs make you feel tiny, and there are seemingly endless adventure opportunities.

A few years ago my husband and I spent 10 days in Chile and Argentina, and we can't wait to return. We barely scraped the surface and had only a brief introduction with this breathtaking land. We had the opportunity to travel with Quasar Expeditions, and it was a great first step for a longer adventure in Patagonia. From driving our Jeep through customs, riding horses in the Andes Mountains, and trekking on the third largest glacier on the planet to eating fresh smoked lamb, drinking local wine and sharing yerba mate with the gauchos, this was a trip we'll never forget. We didn't get in as much hiking as we would have liked due to massive rains that flooded Torres del Paine, but our next trip will be full of hiking, fly fishing, and all the roasted lamb I can handle.

If Patagonia isn't on your adventure list, it should be.
