It's hard to beat the golden yellow alpine larches and the deep red vine maples when it comes to fall colors in Washington, but there are plenty of reasons to get outdoors this fall. It's truly a perfect time to see some of your favorite places in a new light and to explore a few places you've never been.
In addition to the changing foliage, the cooler temperatures give rise to more wildlife activity as some animals forage for winter food while others begin their migrations south. Keep an eye out for bears, goats, and raptors of all sorts.
We've compiled a list of 20 adventures that we think you'll find absolutely incredible and really shine in autumn. So bundle up, pack your thermos, and get outside to embrace this new season!
