Looking for world-class riding and a variety of terrain that ranges from beginner to expert levels? Pedal no further until you try out Black Rock Mountain Bike Area. With dozens of features ranging from short log rides to 25-foot road gaps, there is something for everyone.
The trails are well marked, and with names like "Bonzai Downhill" and "Sickter Gnar," they won't be easily forgotten as you fly through the woods at white-knuckle speeds. If you are looking to work on improving your jump or log skills, "Basic Training" is a designated area set up for those who want to advance their riding. "Basic Training" is also the main staging area for the contests held at Black Rock.
There are several signs posted in the parking lot with directions and requests; please be sure to follow and respect the regulations that keep the trails safe and accessible. Be cautious as you move from the parking lot through the orange gate a quarter of a mile up the road; that land is owned and operated by Camp Tapawingo, a private camp, and they have graciously allowed users to access to the trails at Black Rock.
