Cave Creek Campground is a first-come first-serve campground that is the nearest campground to Oregon Caves National Monument. The campground's 17 sites are located amid a thick grove of trees within the Siskiyou National Forest. Sites are $10 per night, payable at a self-pay kiosk near the end of the campground loop road. Sites lines either side of Cave Creek, which is a light-flowing creek that creates a calming ambiance throughout the campground. Each campsite has a table and a fire pit, with some sites lying immediately beside the parking pullouts and other sites located down short hikes from the parking spot.
Wildlife visits occur here, so campers are required to keep food in locked bear lockers located throughout the campground. A couple vault toilets and water spigots are also spread throughout the campground. The sound of the wind rustling in the tall tree canopies above, along with the flow of the creek, drenches the campground in soothing sounds. Cave Creek Campground is open annually from Memorial Day until September 30 or the first fall rainstorm. No vehicles over 20 feet in length are permitted.
