Willamette Park is a great family-friendly park in Southwest Portland. There is something for everyone at this nice park: a brand new dog park that was redeveloped this past summer, a boat ramp for all the summer water chasers, and grass fields for sports or play. The fields often offer different sports, concerts during the summer, a playground, and a beautiful paved path that goes from the southern end of the park toward downtown Portland.

On a hot sunny summer day, this park is perfect to have a picnic on the side of the river or walk along the river, and access to the Willamette River couldn't be better. There is a parking fee required to park in the park and toliets across the parking lot. There are no rentals or stores in the park, but a short walk up the street you can find a kayak rental shop and resturants to feed your belly.
