Elwha Campground is moderately sized campground in the beautiful Elwah River Valley just 30 minutes southwest of Port Angeles. This campground is a good choice if you are looking to hit any number of trails that leave from within the valley, including a nearby west approach to Hurricane Hill or the trails that leave from the Whiskey Bend Trailhead such as the west approach to Hurricane Ridge or the beautiful Elwha River Trail. You'll also enjoy a visit of adjacent Madison Falls and nearby Boulder Hot Springs (A.K.A "Olympic Hot Springs).

Because this campground is in the valley and enjoys the shade from a lush tree canopy, sites feel very sheltered and private. A dense understory helps define individual sites, which are generally large and well distributed. Elwha Campground has 40 sites that can accommodate tents, RVs, and trailers. Each has a picnic table and a fire ring, though there are no hookups in the campground. You'll find restrooms, potable water, and a modest picnic shelter, and firewood is available for purchase. All sites at Elwah Campground are first-come, first-served, and this campground is open year round.
