Packing for Your Trip

When you are packing for your trip, it's important to think practically as well as stylishly. You want to be able to enjoy the trip without being weighed down by your luggage. Pack a few light, breathable pieces of clothing that can be layered throughout the day, as the evenings can be a bit chilly.

It's also worth bringing a couple of swimsuits and other water activities gear, such as snorkeling masks and water shoes. There will be some wonderful swimming opportunities during your tour. You should also bring a selection of good-quality sunscreen and sturdy hiking shoes.

How to Get the Most Out of Your Excursions

When it comes to daily excursions, it's best to be prepared for any situation. Here are a few tips that might help you:

  • Make sure you have adequate drinking water and snacks
  • Use ample sun protection (sunscreen and a hat), and wear comfortable walking shoes
  • Pay attention to the safety briefings and follow the guide's directions

When you're out exploring, take the time to appreciate the Galapagos Islands' natural beauty. Don't feel like you need to rush from one place to another; take some time to indulge. The Galapagos Islands have many beautiful sites that will create the perfect Instagram-worthy photos.

Dining Onboard a Galapagos Islands cruise

The dining experience aboard a Galapagos Islands cruise can be quite a treat. There is quite a variety of meals for you to choose from. Most 5-star luxury ships offer a variety of gourmet, international cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

There is usually a buffet serving a selection of salads and other light options. During the day, you can also enjoy snacks and drinks in the bar area. However, if you're feeling adventurous, there is often a selection of rotating local dishes on offer.

Making the Most of Your Days at Sea

Of course, there is still plenty to do on the days at sea. On board the ship, you will find a large pool and a sundeck where you can relax in the sun. There is also a fitness center and a selection of spa treatments. Additionally, you can use the onboard library or try your hand at a selection of onboard activities such as trivia, bingo, and line dancing.

Disembarkation and Post-cruise Options

On the final day of your cruise, you might be given the option to disembark or continue on a post-cruise tour. Depending on the length of your cruise, the post-cruise tour can be exciting, as you will be able to explore some of the more remote areas of the Galapagos.

If you choose to disembark, you can take various land-based tours to further explore the islands, such as snorkeling and birdwatching and visiting local museums and historical sites.

Making the Best of Your Galapagos Islands Holiday

A Galapagos Islands cruise is an amazing way to experience the unique natural beauty and wildlife of this unique geographical location. With the tips above, you should be well-prepared for an exciting, luxurious, adventurous holiday in Ecuador's amazing Galapagos Islands.
