I grew up in New England and learned to love the backcountry in my beloved White Mountains of New Hampshire. I can hike the Presidential Range in my mind.
In 2008, I spent four months in the New Zealand backcountry on a NOLS expedition, where I picked up a love of wilderness medicine, which I continue to practice.
Now I live in California and have a lifetime of west coast wilderness exploration ahead of me.
My least-favorite activity is wearing pants.
