I am a freelance archaeologist, backpacker, Jiu Jitsu practitioner, and author. My wife and I view adventure as a core feature of our lifestyle and identities. Together, we've been SOBOs on the Appalachian Trail, lived in Steamboat Springs, CO for three years intimately exploring northwestern Colorado's boundless outdoor paradise where we learned to ski and snowboard, and we are now discovering all the hidden outdoor gems surrounding our current city of Knoxville, TN. In the coming years, we plan to keep experimenting with our adventurous yearnings by constructing a yurt in a secluded patch of woods to serve as our outpost to further contemplate where we might wander next. As one of the many authors I admire puts it, "there was nowhere to go but everywhere, so just keep on rolling under the stars."
