Nathan Ostrander

A civil engineer and lifelong adventurer, Nathan heads off for the mountains most weekends for backpacking, rock climbing, and cycling. In the summer of 2016 Nathan has covered over a hundred miles of trails on foot, climbed 10 peaks in the Sierra Nevada, and wound his way through the valley foothills and the Sonoma Coast by bicycle. Recently exploring the world of photography, Nathan spends back-country evenings shooting fiery sunsets, and following nights setting up long exposure shots of the milky way galaxy. Photography now fills his down-time, continually learning new techniques to capture breathtaking images of the world he wanders through. His largest passion in life is to explore the beauty and seclusion of the world's few wild and remote places while capturing the feelings of being there through writing and photography.
