Chatter Creek Campground is slightly farther up Icicle Creek Road than Eightmile Campground and Bridge Creek Campground, so while you may not be as close to the conveniences of Leavenworth, you may find more moderate crowds here. Like it's neighbors, this campground is located at a convergence of creeks, and between the water and the shade it is a great choice for an overnight. Nearby trails, climbing, and kayaking make keep this campground popular. Visitors here are close to the Icicle Gorge Loop Trail and the Chatter Creek Trail in addition to the vast resources of the Alpine Lakes Wilderness.

All 12 single sites are first-come, first-served. The one group site is available for advance reservation and accommodates up to 45 people. Some sites are accessible by bridge from the parking area, but the distances are short and the carry from the car is easy. Amenities are straightforward, and you'll find picnic tables, fire rings, vault toilets, and potable water.

Chatter Creek Campground is generally open from the beginning of May through the beginning of October.
