Camano Island State Park is a perfect place to discover the beauty of the northern Puget Sound. With no ferry ride necessary, you can be taking in views of the Olympic Mountains while combing a rocky shoreline, hiking through old forests, or settling into your campsite, all before lunchtime.

With the north and south beaches combined, the park has over a mile of accessible coastline. Both beaches provide established day use picnic areas that include kitchen shelters, restroom facilities, and potable water. With a well-built boat ramp and ample space for parking, Lowell Point (the south beach) is the place to go for water activities. Make sure to grab a daily $7 watercraft permit at the ranger station before launching.

For those who prefer land activities, the Camano Island State Park Loop Trails offer 4 miles of diverse hiking terrain and a chance to explore every corner of the park. Or, for a milder stroll through a hearty old-growth forest, visit the Al Emerson Nature Trail located a short distance north from the campground.
