Wildwood Campground is a small, quiet campground in the western White Mountains. The campground has a rustic feel without many added amenities, as there are no hookups, dump stations, or showers. Campsites are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, and no reservations are taken in advance. Each campsite has a fire pit and picnic table, and many of the sites are flat and spacious.

A beautiful picnic area is located across the highway from the campground, with a view of Mount Moosilauke rising up behind the large pavilion. The picnic area was a project completed by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), and it provides picnic tables, a large pavilion, vault toilets, and some open space that is large enough to spread out or throw a Frisbee. The picnic area sits along the Wild Ammonoosuc River, and moose are often seen in the area, so keep an eye out around the campground and while driving to or from the campground.

Wildwood Campground makes for a great base camp for exploring the area, such as hiking Mount Moosilauke, visiting Franconia State Park, or checking out the long list of things to do in Lincoln.
