Iron Canyon Snowshoe

The views of Park City and its ski resorts covered in snow are a great reward at the end of this short and steep trail. The snowshoe up Iron Canyon begins with a mellow pitch to a large meadow and then becomes a steady stream of uphill through large aspen groves and pine forests to a panoramic view of town.

Iron Canyon is a fun and popular trail in the winter and is a great way to get some quick exercise before or after work. Dogs are a common sight here, as with many trails in Park City. The area has a population of moose, and the large mammals are seen regularly, so keep an eye out for them. Make sure not to park in the cul-de-sac where the trailhead is located. Park farther down the road, where the signs will let you know what's allowed.
