This hike is located in eastern section of Allamuchy State Park.  From the parking area located at the southern end of Sussex Branch Trail (wide rail trail), pass through the gate and walk a short distance until a sign on the left for the Waterloo Trail (white markers). Follow the Wateloo trail for .25 miles until signage on the left for the Pebble Trail (yellow markers).  Turn left on the Pebble Trail.  The Pebble Trail is dotted with large glacial erratics.  After 2 miles the Pebble trail joins the Waterloo Trail and the two share the same path for one more mile.  The Pebble Trail ends where the turn off was initially from the Waterloo Trail.

Follow the Waterloo Trail back down to the Sussex Branch Trail.  Turn right and in a short distance you arrive at the parking area.
