Joryville Park is a 27 acre forested park on a hillside amidst the fields south of Salem. It generally stays quiet, and offers a small network of trails to explore.
Upon entering the park, a paved road heads toward the top of the hill, while several other paths branch off in different directions. Tracing the loop path follows mostly dirt track, with several small wooden footbridges and wooden steps through the wetlands area. Trails then begin to climb the hillside, tracing a somewhat steep grade, before reaching the signed boundary of a field near the top.
Small trails and footpaths abound here, allowing hikers to find their own way, and will let visitors vary the length of their walk.
A small clearing with several picnic benches and a vault toilet sit near the entrance to the park.
Please acknowledge signs marking the boundary of the park and adjacent private property. Marks of previous trails can be seen, however as the neighboring property has increasingly developed the field, they have asked hikers to stick to the park grounds rather than venturing through their property.
Joryville Park is open from sunrise to sunset daily. This is a nice little forested park to explore.
