Ah, it's mid-June, and it's almost technically summer... but where's the sun? We at Outdoor Project have a simple call to action for those seeking some much needed vitamin D...Head east!

Amazingly, a simple drive past the crest of the Cascade Range out into Eastern Oregon/Washington is all it takes, and the easiest way to transition from rain to sunshine is to drive out toward the eastern Columbia River Gorge. Here's a sampling of a few adventures that are sure to make summer feel that much closer. Whether you're interested in camping out, taking on a day hike, having a picnic or making a splash, we're sure you'll enjoy the eastern sections of the Gorge.
