Deep in the temperate rainforest of Olympic National Park, Graves Creek Campground is open year-round to serve as the base camp for intrepid explorers heading into the mystic, waterfall-lined Quinault River Valley, better known to outdoor enthusiasts as the "Enchanted Valley."

With 30 campsites, you'll definitely have your pick of sites during the off season. During the peak of summer, however, this remote campground fills up. Before heading out, be sure to pack plenty of water or a purification system, as the campground has no potable water.

It is 2.5 miles one-way from the Enchanted Valley trailhead to Pony Bridge, which makes for a great day hike, and roughly 13 miles to the Enchanted Valley Chalet.

If you navigate directly across the river (which features slippery rocks and a pretty good current, so not recommended for solo travelers) from around campgrounds 18/19, there's a deep, clear pool just past a rocky fork that's great for swimming.

Road no longer washed out! :)
According to the NFS, the road is washed out at the bridge junction, and the campground is closed, due to additional damage to the site. As of April 28th, 2016
