Find this hike in the beautiful area near Winthrop, Washington. This hike features amazing views of Patterson Lake and the surrounding mountains. To get to this hike, first find the Chickadee Trailhead. From the Chickadee Trailhead, walk past the cabin that is off to the side and follow the forest road.  Follow down to the Magpie Trail and turn left. This leads to the Patterson Lake trail that traverse the lake.  The best views are at the far end of the lake. Take some time to enjoy the views, eat some lunch, and relax. 

Once past the lake, the trail reaches some farm lane.  A post in the ground will direct you to Rader Creek Trail.  This trail quickley enaters a forest with no views.  The trail follow the small Rader Creek. After about one mile, Rader Creek trail makes a right on to the Magpie Trail.  Follow this back to the access trail and Chickadee Trailhead.

Note, this area is popular with mountain bikers.
