This section of the Superior Hiking Trail is about 1 mile, but the route rises and falls considerably before reaching the vista point. While the length is short, this trail might be hard with children or elderly. The trail begins on a dirt path, and it might be a tad bit overgrown. At points the trail will have some wooden paths that go over boggy areas of the trail. The trail will go up and down for almost the entire stretch. Once you get to a point where it really starts climbing up a rocky trail, you are not to far to the end.  Keep going after you reach the first vista point; you'll know that you've arrived once you reach an area that opens up to huge rock cliffs. Enjoy the views. There's a nearby backpacking campsite if you want to make a weekend out of it.  Find more information on the Superior Hiking Trail website. Note that bug spray is highly recommended for the trail.
