The Griffith Park Hollywood Loop is a scenic and diverse 12-mile journey situated in the heart of Los Angeles, California's iconic Griffith Park. This loop trail offers an eclectic mix of terrains and experiences, making it a favorite among outdoor enthusiasts for running, hiking, and biking.

Starting from the Greek Theater, a historic venue known for its open-air performances, the loop trail heads east towards another park classic, the Merry Go Round. This area, beloved for its nostalgic charm, provides a gentle introduction to the park's vast network of trails. The path then meanders near the golf course, offering a flat and easy trek that allows hikers to warm up before the more challenging ascents.

As the trail ventures back into the heart of Griffith Park, it follows the Skyline Trail. Here, the terrain begins to ascend with increasingly impressive views of the surrounding city and landscapes. This segment of the loop is particularly notable for its natural beauty and panoramic vistas.

Continuing, the route winds its way to the Berlin Forest and then gradually descends, leading adventurers back to their starting point near the Greek Theater.

Parking is readily available at the beginning of the loop, along with amenities such as water fountains and restrooms, ensuring a comfortable start and finish to your adventure.

There are opportunities for solitude within Griffith Park, however, the park is a popular tourist destination and can experience higher visitor traffic on weekends and holidays.
